Indie Catastrophe is a website about preparing your indie business for the worst case scenarios .

Who is behind this?

This is a non-profit project by Peter Forret. I am a freelance consultant and software engineer, and I have been running my own business since 2000.

Why are you doing this?

I no longer have the arrogance of twenty-somethings to think that I will live forever (I was born in 1969). Also, I have small children and I want to make sure that they will be taken care of if something happens to me.

Contrary to what you might think from seeing this website, I am actually quite an optimistic and positive person. This is just a topic I think about often. I want to sleep better knowing that I prepared for the worst.
